The video should be shot in a proper format or a formal set up, such as, school or club matches, amateur tournaments, local leagues, etc. The Applicant may be a bowler, batsman or both (all-rounder).

The video must capture the Applicant either batting, bowling.

Entries will be judged by a panel of 2 professional retired Indian cricketers on the basis of the Applicant’s cricket skill displayed in the video submitted by them.

The top 100 Applicants with the best cricket skills and performance will be selected for a scholarship of upto Rs 2,00,000/-(Rupees Two Lakhs only) each.

The "Asian Paints NeoBharat Cricket Scholarship" ("Scholarship") is a scholarship being offered by Asian Paints Ltd. ("Asian Paints") and is aimed at boosting cricket talent among meritorious children in India.

Through this Scholarship, 100 applicants will get a chance to win up to Rs. 2,00,000/- each which may be claimed towards cricketing related expenses, as mentioned under "Scholarship Disbursement" below. This Scholarship is subject to the below terms and conditions. Parents or legal guardians (hereafter "Parents") hereby consents to their child’s or ward’s participation in and application to the Asian Paints NeoBharat Cricket Scholarship" ("Scholarship"). Parents confirm that they have read these terms and conditions and shall abide by them. Participation in this Scholarship implies irrevocable acceptance of all the terms and conditions mentioned herein.

Personal Data Privacy and Usage Notice: Participation in this Scholarship requires disclosing information that can personally identify you and your child or ward. Any information voluntarily disclosed hereunder may be collected, stored, shared, processed, and used by Asian Paints as mentioned hereunder, for the purposes of conducting and facilitating this Scholarship as well as for marketing and promotional purposes. Parents agree and give their free consent to the terms contained hereunder as well as to the collection, storage, processing and/or otherwise handling of their personal data by Asian Paints and/or its representatives (hereinafter, "Consent") which shall be effective for the entire duration of their relationship with Asian Paints during the Scholarship Period and thereafter, until Asian Paints retains records of said personal information as specified above.

  1. ELIGIBILITY:
    1. The Scholarship is open to all children of Indian Nationality between ages of 5 to 14 years, holding valid Aadhaar cards or Indian Passport. This Scholarship is not open to Asian Paints or any of its group companies’ directors, employees and their immediate family members.
    2. To qualify for the Scholarship, parents’ or guardian’s total annual income for financial year 22-23 should be below Rs. 20 Lakh (Rupees Twenty Lakhs). Parents or guardians must provide their IT returns as proof of their annual income for FY 22-23. The Applicant should not be availing any cricketing scholarship / stipend from any other organisation during the Scholarship Period.
    3. Applicant must have parental or a legal guardian’s written consent ("Parental Consent") and must register their child / ward as per process prescribed below in order to participate in Scholarship.

      Scholarship Registration Process:
      1. Application:
        1. Name, Age, Current Address, Permanent Address, Identity proof.
        2. Parents/guardian Name, Occupation, PAN, Occupation, Phone Number, Identity proof
      2. Applicant’s Birth Certificate, Parents’ / Guardian’s IT Returns for 22-23 and undertaking as per 1(b) (For Shortlisted applicants)
      3. Video: the Applicant(s) must submit a video of themselves playing cricket. The game should be played in a proper format or a formal set up, such as, school or club matches, amateur tournaments, local leagues, etc. The Applicant may be a bowler, batsman or fielder or an all-rounder. The video must capture the Applicant either batting, bowling or fielding and must be atleast 1 minute long (though not longer than 3 minutes). The video must be uploaded on the Asian Paints NeoBharat site. This link will be shared on parent or guardian’s mobile number provided in the registration form.
    4. Entries will be judged by a panel of 2 retired professional Indian cricketers on the basis of the Applicant’s cricket skill displayed in the video submitted by them.
    5. The top 100 Applicants displaying the best cricket skills and performance will be selected for a Scholarship of upto Rs 2,00,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs only) each.
    6. Disbursement of Scholarship: The Scholarship will be paid out in three tranches for the below expenditure(s) for cricket related expenditure:
      • First, upon selection, payment of Rs 50,000/- shall be made to the account provided at the time of registration. The amount may be utilised towards cricket linked expenditure including but not limited to enrollment in a cricket academy, or towards purchase of cricketing Kit/gear for the Scholarship recipient or such other expenses related to cricket coaching, tournaments, etc.
      • The disbursement of subsequent years’ scholarship funds will be contingent upon the recipient furnishing valid proof of legitimate cricket related spends. Supportings must be submitted with __ days of disbursement.
      • The second installment of up to Rs 75,000/- shall be paid against fee receipt from cricket coaching academy for first year(2024) and
      • Final payment of up to Rs 75000/- against fee receipt from cricket academy for second year(2025)
    7. The Scholarship results will be declared in July 2024 and the selected Applicants will be informed directly by Asian Paints or their representative by contacting them on the mobile numbers provided at the time registration.

  3. Applications to this Scholarship shall be open across India from 20th May 2024 till 15th July 2024 (“Scholarship Period”). Asian Paints reserves the right to extend or reduce the Scholarship Period at its discretion.
  4. Applicant hereby undertakes to participate in the true spirit of the Scholarship and shall neither misuse / abuse, conduct any fraud and otherwise cheat in order to participate or win the Scholarship nor solicit help from any third party or any external source for the same.
  5. Applicant, and their parent/guardian expressly agrees and gives their consent to being contacted by Asian Paints or its representatives for the purpose of this Scholarship even if they are registered under any national Do Not Call Registry or Do Not Disturb Register or any other equivalent registry. In case Applicant does not want to be contacted , they shall inform Asian Paints by sending an email on [email protected]. It is clearly understood that this will automatically disqualify the Applicant from the Scholarship
  6. Applicant (through Parent / Guardian) hereby declares and undertakes that they are the rightful owner of the videos submitted hereunder and/or have the required power and authority to submit the video as prescribed hereunder. The Applicant hereby grants to Asian Paints the permission and an unconditional, unlimited, perpetual, royalty free, transferable license to use the videos, modify, edit, extract and / or create derivatives thereof including but not limited to photographs, images and /or artistic works; and use / publish the same for the purposes of advertising, promotion, publication, display and other use inter alia by uploading and displaying such videos and works on their website, social media platforms, etc. so as to be accessible to the public at large via the internet. By virtue of this permission, Asian Paints Limited shall have the right to display, print, reproduce, transform or adapt the videos and this license shall be perpetual, irrevocable and unrestricted. The permission and license granted hereunder includes the right to use and publish the videos, photographs, etc for product advertising and such other business purposes in any manner and medium (now known or hereinafter discovered) across all jurisdictions throughout the world.
  7. Decisions made by Asian Paints with respect to this Scholarship will be final; Applicant (and their parents and guardians) shall accept the decision as binding and shall in no event challenge the same.
  8. This Scholarship is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for any other benefits in lieu thereof.
  9. Asian Paints reserves the right at any time and from time to time to withdraw, amend, cancel or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this Scholarship, with or without prior notice due to any reasons whatsoever.
  10. Asian Paints reserves the right to disqualify or refuse the Scholarship or benefit provided hereunder, to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
  11. To the extent permitted by law, Asian Paints excludes all warranties and representations (whether express or implied) and its liability (including without limitation for negligence) regarding this Scholarship and the benefits thereunder.
  12. Asian Paints is not obligated in any manner whatsoever to compensate any person or persons who have participated in this Scholarship.
  13. Applicants, (and their parents/guardians) hereby agree that Asian Paints shall not be liable for any claims, or threatened claims, actions, suits, notices, etc that might arise from their acts, omissions, negligence, misrepresentations, fraud, while participating in this Scholarship.
  14. Any false, misleading, or incorrect information provided by Applicant under this Scholarship shall lead to their immediate disqualification from the Scholarship and Asian Paints shall not be liable to compensate the applicant in this regard.
  15. Force Majeure Event- This Scholarship or benefits offered hereunder are subject to force majeure conditions and in the event or occurrence of any force majeure event , i.e. any event beyond the control of Asian Paints (including but not limited to fire, explosions, natural calamities, state or national emergency, riots, epidemics, pandemics and public health emergencies, technical glitches, internet or website issue etc.), Asian Paints reserves the right to suspend, postpone or terminate this Scholarship with or without any notice and shall not be liable to compensate any applicant, in this regard.
  16. The decisions made by Asian Paints with respect to this Scholarship, the Scholarship recipients and the benefits hereunder, interpretations of terms and conditions, declaration of results will be final and binding.
  17. If an Applicant/ Parent is a) found to be in violation of any rules /terms of this Scholarship, or b) is accused of Intellectual Property infringement, plagiarism, or c) makes any misrepresentations, claims, false or incorrect statements, falsifies any documents, undertakings or declarations, etc. Asian Paints reserves the right to disqualify such Applicant or to withdraw the Scholarship benefits of such Scholarship recipient and/or pursue any legal recourse as may be available against such applicants.
  18. This Scholarship shall be subject to prevailing statutory and other applicable laws of India. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Terms & Conditions, or the rights and obligations of applicant and/or Asian Paints with respect to this Scholarship shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of India. No claim of what soever nature will be accepted by Asian Paints post expiry of these Terms and Conditions. Any dispute arising out of this Scholarship shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Mumbai.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The Scholarship is open to all children of Indian Nationality between ages of 5 to 14 years, holding valid Aadhaar cards or Indian Passport. Parents' or guardian's total income for financial year 23-24 is less than 20 lakhs.

In order to qualify, the Applicant need to submit a video of themselves playing cricket. The game should be played in a proper format or a formal set up, such as, school or club matches, amateur tournaments, local leagues, etc. The Applicant may be a bowler, batsman or both (all-rounder). The video must capture the Applicant either batting, bowling or fielding. The video must be at-least 1 minute long (but not more than 3 minutes long). The video needs to be uploaded on form along with other details.

15th July, 2024 is the last date of submission of form.

Entries will be judged by a panel of 2 professional retired Indian cricketers on the basis of the Applicant’s cricket skill displayed in the video submitted by them. The top 100 Applicants with the best cricket skills and performance will be selected for a scholarship.

To avail the scholarship, applicant should be enrolled in a reputed cricket academy. Disbursement of scholarship will be done in three tranches- upfront payment of Rs 50000/- on the final selection, up to Rs 75000 against fee receipt from cricket coaching academy for first year (2024) and third payment of up to Rs 75000 against fee receipt from cricket academy for second year(2025).
